EMEA Version

Phoenix, AZ - 17/10/2012 – 10ZiG Technology the emerging market leader in innovative Thin Client solutions is pleased to announce the availability of the 5748 Series SOC Zero Client. This new range is an extremely compact and cost-effective System-on-Chip (SoC) Zero Client that has been optimized for use in VDI environments and for connecting to cloud-hosted applications. This Zero Client combines high video performance, simple desktop set up and free centralized management, which comes standard with each 10ZiG unit and enables a quick and simplified approach to desktop virtualization deployment.

The 10ZiG 5700 Series boasts the smallest form factor to date and contains a System-on-Chip based on a Texas Instruments 8148 ARM Cortex A8 processor. The SoC also integrates a digital signal processor (DSP) to speed up protocols like Microsoft RemoteFX and Citrix HDX. As a result, this unit delivers high graphical performance comparable to the top dual core models in the Thin Client market place, such as full-screen HD video and rendering of complex graphical imagery.

The energy efficiency of its ARM systems processor gives the 10ZiG 5748 Series extremely low power consumption pulling just 6 Watts power while still providing a maximum monitor resolution is 1920 x 1200, with dual video DVI ports standard. The protocol currently supported is Citrix HDX with Miscosoft RDP supporting RemoteFX, and VMware‘s PCoIP coming soon.
